Have you ever wanted to feel the freedom of flight? In this foundational level weekend program we will learn how basic yoga poses can be taken into the air with the greatest of ease. AcroYoga is a loving blend of the wisdom of yoga, the loving kindness of thai bodywork, and the dynamic and playful energy of acrobatics. We will learn to develop relationships of trust, mutual support, and loving kindness. We will cover all of the foundational elements of AcroYoga including yoga poses (asanas) that prepare the body to give and receive support, introductory level thai bodywork, partner counterbalances, and move progressively towards basic level acrobatic poses that will fill you with joy.
All content will be taught in progressive steps that maximize student’s learning and embodiment of material. The first session will focus on acrobatics, taking yoga poses into the air with comfort and grace. The second session will be about learning healing aspect of AcroYoga including including thai bodywork, partner yoga, and therapeutic flying.
Some experience with yoga is recommended but not required. Come with an open mind and a desire to give and receive in the support of community.
