Expanding My Horizons

I recently had the opportunity to partake in some new types of yoga.

First – Acro Yoga. I was pretty apprehensive. I consider yoga pretty personal and I didn’t know how I felt about other people being in my personal space. Life starts outside the comfort zone, though, right? I gave it a shot.

I Flew with Rich and Toyah. And I acted as Base for Toyah and even Lisa (which was a bit scary, as she is probably a foot taller than me and my boss lady!!). All in all, it was good fun and a lot of laughs. This isn’t your typical yoga! Experimenting, trying to find the right way to balance both yourself and another person – it was very challenging and took a lot of faith and trust in the other person. I was definitely out of my comfort zone, as I am unused to putting faith in other people. What a great experience! It isn’t something I would want to repeat all of the time, but it is a great way to get out of my own comfort zone and grow as an individual.
